Designer Chhaya Kapadia of Maya Jewels, a new exhibitor at the Couture Jewellery Collection and Conference, took home the Town & Country Design Award for her 22kt gold filigree and rosewood cuffs on Thursday night.
The event took place at the Wynn Las Vegas from Tuesday, May 30 to Friday, June 2. It is an exclusive invitation-only event featuring 158 of the world's finest jewelry designers and retailers.
Kapadia's debut at the conference dazzled the judges, featuring an array of handcrafted jewelry inspired by nature. Richard and Gail Ross, judges at the show and owners of Tilden Ross Jewelers, described her pieces as "extremely unusual and finely made, exquisite." They added, "Her work shows tremendous warmth and love. Her dedication to detail and beauty is exceptional."
Maya Jewels has been capturing the attention of jewelry enthusiasts around the world since it's founding in 2004. Kapadia creates bold fine jewelry pieces that combine Art Nuevo and Art Deco styles using 22kt Gold Filigree work.
